Paul W. Diederich (2013)

North Dakota native Paul W. Diederich was driving company vehicles for his family’s construction business, Industrial Builders, at age 14. Growing up with a dad who served as the AGC President in his home state meant he learned about the benefits of membership early on. His first personal connection was as a student at Arizona State University, volunteering on multiple committees and task forces. He joined the family firm formally in 1974 and later, like his father, served at the top of the North Dakota AGC ladder. Diederich did double-duty during his AGC of America presidential term, serving simultaneously as the AGC Highway Bridge Committee Chairman.
