Kristine L. Young (2011)
Young was the first woman to serve AGC in its highest office. Daughter of Gene Miller, who founded Des Moines, IA-based boring and tunneling firm Miller the Driller in 1948, she served as the company’s president from 1982 to 2004. Being first wasn’t new for Young; she is the only woman elected president of AGC of Iowa, as well. She served as the Municipal & Utilities Division Chair in 2002 and on the AGC of America board of directors for more than a decade.
